Hindi Language Prize to Monish Puri

VSL Blackburn Hindi student, Monish Puri, recently came first in a major Hindi language competition. He competed in the International Elocution Hindi Competition hosted by the World Hindi Secretariat for the Australia and Asia region. Monish had to write an essay and deliver it in Hindi. To his joy, he came first and was over the moon to receive this award. This has been an honour and one that has boosted his confidence to proceed to a higher level in his studies. Monish was born and raised in Australia. Currently studying in Year 11 at Balwyn High School, he is a keen student, interested in various cultures and languages. He has shown great fondness of the Indian culture, including learning Hindi language. This inspiration came from watching Bollywood movies. As a result, he has been diligent and precise in every effort in his commitment to learn the Hindi language. Congratulations Monish!
