Hindi/Kannada poetry competition across the South East
21 September, 2017
During September the Kannada and Hindi language faculties got together to organise a poetry competition for all year levels! Berwick kicked off the individual presentations, which finished with Hindi classes (see photos Hindi Yr7-8) “battling it out”. Kannada also invited external guests as their panel of judges. These poems not only serve as great learning tools for the acquisition of the target language but also reflect an important cultural artefact of communication, ritual and celebration. The VSL South East is proud to contribute through its programs to maintain and enrich the communities’ cultural heritage! We look forward to organising many more such events and also looking forward to our Open Day on November 18th to greet and introduce our school to the wider communities!
