Korean BBQ

Korean course students, teachers and parents of the Point Cook VSL Centre, held a 'Korean BBQ Day' event on Saturday the 10th of September. This event was organised by the members of the Korean Parent Committee from the Point Cook Centre. The parents prepared several favourite Korean BBQ dishes like Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Pork Belly (Samgyupsal) and chicken wings. It was a great opportunity for both teachers and parents to discuss the future direction of Korean Languages education and gain strong cooperation for further development of Korean courses at the Centre. In addition to Korean food, students enjoyed making and playing 'Jegi' (Korean traditional outdoor game) during the event. In the course of the day, an important acknowledgement was made of the achievements of Yr 4 student Chaebin Lee, who received an award from the Choonpa Korean Scholarship Foundation for her excellent progress and achievements in Korean studies.
